Yard Maintenance Curra

Yard Maintenance in Curra

Curra is about 21 km north-north-west of Gympie along the Bruce Highway. It is a big locality — around 2,100 people at the 2021 census — and a mix of working pastoral farms, small acreages and rural residential blocks, with the Mary River on its western boundary and Curra State Forest to the east.

That mix shapes the work. A house yard in a rural residential street needs the same regular mowing and edging as one in town, but a few acres of grass, fence lines and long driveway verges are a different job again. We look at the size of the area, the slope and how long it has been left before we quote, so the visit is planned properly.

Common Jobs on Curra Properties

• House yard mowing and edging on a regular schedule
• Whipper snipping long fence lines, gateways and around sheds and tanks
• Cutting back overgrown paddock edges, drainage lines and verges
• Hedge and shrub trimming around the house
• Weed control — including weeds on the council’s problem list such as groundsel bush and giant rat’s tail grass
• Green waste and rubbish removal after a clean-up

After Heavy Rain

Properties near the river and Curra Creek can take a hit in a big wet. If your yard has been flattened, silted up or simply got away during a rainy spell, a one-off garden clean-up gets it back to a point where regular maintenance is easy again.

Regular Visits or a One-Off Job

Some Curra owners book us every week or fortnight through summer; others call once or twice a year to get on top of a bigger area. Either works. For regular work we keep the same routine each visit — mow, edge, snip around structures, blow off hard surfaces — so you always know what to expect. For one-off jobs we start with a walk-around so we can agree on exactly what gets done.
