Yard Maintenance Jones Hill

Yard Maintenance in Jones Hill

Jones Hill is about 5.6 km south of the Gympie CBD, on the south-western side of the Mary River. It was farm land historically and has grown quickly — around 1,135 people at the 2021 census, up from about 900 in 2016 — with smaller suburban blocks in the north-west and larger rural residential blocks across the rest of the area.

That growth means a lot of newer homes and gardens alongside established acreage. Newer yards often need help keeping lawns even and edges defined as gardens establish; bigger blocks need more mowing time, longer fence lines snipped and occasional cut-backs of rougher areas. We plan each visit around the property in front of us.

Newer Homes and Established Acreage

For newer homes, the first couple of years matter: regular mowing at the right height helps a new lawn thicken up, and keeping edges defined stops grass creeping into fresh garden beds. For larger rural residential blocks, the priorities are different — keeping the area around the house short and tidy, fence lines clear, and weeds from spreading in from surrounding land.

Jones Hill sits on the south-western side of the Mary River, so after a big wet some lower parts of properties may need extra clearing. We can schedule a one-off clean-up and then pick up regular maintenance once the ground has dried out.
